As an elementary teacher for 8 years and an Assistant Principal at Plainview for 16, I’ve learned more about education and students than any class could ever teach me. My goal has always been to grow teachers in order to grow students. I received my Bachelor’s degree at Louisiana College and my Master’s degree and Education Specialist degree in Technology from Northwestern State. Regardless of the amount of degrees, you must have the heart for this field. My motto is “Whatever is best for students”.

Education has been a part of my life since I finished high school and received my Master Degree in Leadership and Supervision, my plus 30, and my Education Specialist Degree in Technology.

However, teaching in the classroom for 8 years will always be the best part of my career. When I left the classroom and joined the administration of Plainview High 16 years ago, I knew that I found another love. Growing teachers to grow students is my personal goal.

I am truly blessed to be able to have an impact on the lives of students from PreK through 12th grade. My philosophy is to do all I can in the present so students will have a successful future.
